Chemical properties white or light yellow crystal. Melting point, 41 ℃ boiling point 208-209 ℃, relative density 1.0432 (45/4 ℃). Easily soluble in water, but soluble in alcohol, ether, acetone, benzene etc many organic solvent. It has hygroscopic property.
Use pharmaceutical intermediates. Used in the production of naphthalene acid oxazolidine, also used in the manufacture of dyes and organic synthesis, photographic concentric.
